Why don't you accept credit cards directly?
Using PayPal to handle credit card processing makes the
transactions safer for the customer and our business. PayPal
is a known and trusted company that is safe for online transactions. Since
we use PayPal you have other options to pay other than
credit cards. You can send money to your PayPal account
in many other ways including directly to and from your bank. This allows us to include
customers who do not use credit cards to purchase from us. We feel it in the best interest
of our customers and ourselves to pay the processing fees PayPal
takes in exchange for the safety and set up they have already done in handling online payment
processing.
I want to pay by check or money order, what do I do?
You will need to place your order via email. Let us know what
you want to order and we'll email you an invoice with information on sending us the payment by mail. Once we recieve the money order or the check clears, we will then ship your product to you. This can add a long delay to the shipment of your order. Another option is doing an electronic transfer from your bank account or direct check to PayPal and paying us through them.
Why can't I order 1 gallon or quart of something?
There are several reasons for this. The biggest reason is to save the customer money and keep our prices low. Shipping is normally front loaded which means that we can ship you 4 gallons for only a little more cost than it would have been for just 1 gallon. It might seem like 1 gallon should cost 1/4 the price to ship but that is never case. It is more likely to be 20-25% more to go from 1 gallon to 4. We also use the packaging that the product is in to ship which allows us to not charge addiional fees for packaging and handling.
I do not live in the US or I live in Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Ric, why can't I order?
Issues with laws and regulations prohibit us from selling our products to individuals
outside of the US. The other primary reason is related to shipping costs which are
much greater to non-US locations, Alaska and Hawaii. If you are willing to pay the shipping
cost differences and any other fees that may be added on to the process, we may be able to
take your order. Please Contact us for more information.
Do you have a store front?
We are a web based businesses so we do not have a store front. However, we have a local area that we will deliver products to. All orders and the website state all contact information in the event that there
is an issue that needs to be resolved. Our local orders are priced to include Indiana sales tax already in them.
What is your local delivery area?
The general area is greater Fort Wayne. This would include New Haven, Garrett, Auburn, Waterloo, Leo, Grabill and areas near those towns in Indiana. We have recently expanded our delivery area to include some areas of Michigan and Ohio. We have created a map with requirements that can be found on our main page. We may be willing to travel further for larger orders. Please Contact us if you would like to see if we will deliver direct to your home or business.
Why do you include shipping in your price?
We looked at shipping costs for sending cases of our products all over the US and got an average
cost to ship the product. We still believe that our prices will beat most other online prices
and local retailers with shipping to your door. We also believe that this saves you time and gas that people normally do not add in to the costs of buying products at local retailers. We also like the idea that the price you see is what you pay. We don't want to pull you in at one price then add lots of mark ups for shipping, handling, fees and taxes.
I do not feel I can trust online retailers to deliver the products I order, why should I
trust you?
This always a concern, but we feel our simple set up helps to make us a business you can count on.
You can always email us with any questons before or after an order is placed with any questions. We also believe using PayPal
for our cart and credit card processing is a huge plus for our customers. It provides another
layer of security to the transaction and additional layer of support for issue resolution.
Why are there restrictions for residents of NY, NJ, CA, OR, WA and various other states?
There are several states have laws about the use of chemicals placed in water and related to the application of herbicides. Since distribution of these controlled products require additional licensing we can't sell or deliver those products to anyone in those states. There are other states that have other EPA restrictions against some products we carry. We can ship our pond and lake dye as well as biological pond cleaners to those states though. We always note state restriction with each product listing.
How long will it take for my order to arrive?
While there is no perfect answer to this, it's generally anywhere from 2 to 10 days depending on
the location the product is being shipped to. Normal shipping occurs from 1-48 hours after the order is placed
and paid. We will notify you once the order is shipped and provide the tracking number(s)
provided from the shipping company. We normally use the USPS, UPS or Fedex. Note that issues with payments, address issues and other questions that require responses may slow the shipping process.
I want a product you do not have listed, can you get it?
This depends on the product you are looking for. At this time we are only selling Sanco Pond and Lake products. We do not stock all of the available Sanco products or any other brands. If you need something else, please email us and we will let you know if we can get a product for you we do not have listed. Note: we do not sell copper sulfate because shipping costs make it very expensive to sell. If you do want copper sulfate, you will have to contact us for a product with shipping quote. Requesting information about other products does not obligate you to make any purchase.
How many items are in a case?
In most cases this will be 4. There may be some items that do not come in a case or in quantities other than 4. The quantity will be noted on those items. Each item should note if it is in gallons, pounds, quarts or other unit of measure.
